After publishing two blogposts about the dungeon system, today it’s time for the third and final part. This time we will talk about the item system and respond to your feedback from the last two parts. We are very happy that so many impressions have reached us. This way we can improve Cactusclicker together.

If you’d like to jump to the first part of the dungeon system, you can do so here.

Sounds can be heard coming from the massive walls of the dungeon.

Your Feedback

After the last two blogposts about the dungeon system, we received a lot of feedback from you. We want to thank you for that! Many players are very happy with the system and are looking forward to having more to do than mindlessly clicking on a cactus. That Cactusclicker would get more content was always clear and openly communicated.

Otherwise, the concern was expressed several times that the dungeon system would cause us to lose focus on the big picture of Cactusclicker. We understand your thought but want to reassure you that the ultimate reason you’re going into the dark dungeons is to increase your cactus production. This will also be, whether directly or indirectly, the goal of all Cactusclicker expansions. We want each season of CC to be unique and different play styles to be valid.

The item rarity levels

In the various dungeons of Legend, you will come across a large amount of items that have different quality levels. We would like to classify the items in the Cactusclicker dungeon system into the following 8 rarity grades:

Normal > Magisch > Selten > Legendär > Alt Legendär > Set > Alt Set > Mythisch

The rarer an item is, the better its stats are. An exception to this is the set items, which bring powerful stats with them if you have the complete set equipped. Our goal with the unique colors of the items is that you can tell at first glance what you are looting. We definitely don’t want looting and equipping to become an ordeal.

Why you should go to a dungeon? Loot!

Affixes

All items will have one thing in common – they will get an attack and defense value that increases the damage or defense by 1 per point. In addition, items will provide you with various other effects through so-called affixes.

The distribution of affixes among the different item levels will be as the following:

Normal – Attack + Defense

Magic – Attack + Defense + 1 – 2 Affixes

Rare – Attack + Defense + 3 – 5 Affixes

Legendary – Attack + Defense + 3 – 4 Affixes + 1 Legendary Affixes

Alt Legendary – Attack + Defense + 3 – 5 Affixes + 1 Legendary Affixes

Set – Attack + Defense + 3 – 4 Affixes + Set Boni

Alt Set – Attack + Defense + 3 – 5 Affixes + Set Boni

Mythic – Attack + Defense + 1 – 2 Affixes + 2-4 Legendary Affixes

The offensive affixes you can find on items are:

  • X HP per enemy killed
  • x% Attack speed
  • x% Critical hit chance / Critical hit damage
  • x% Damage
  • x% Cooldown Reduction
  • x% Speed
  • x% Increased damage against champions / elite / bosses / undead / insects

The defensive affixes you can find on items are:

  • X Max Health
  • x% Life regeneration
  • x% Damage Reduction
  • x% Dodge chance
  • x% Fire / Poison / Wither / Cold / Lightning resistance
  • x% Reduced damage from champions / elite / bosses

Also, Legendary, Alt Legendary, and Mythic rarity items will have Legendary affixes that are much more powerful than the regular ones. However, we don’t want to reveal what the legendary affixes are yet.

The cells were used for the last time long before our time.

Conclusion

Now we are already at the end of the introduction of the dungeon system. Even if it has become a bit more technical in some places, we hope you enjoyed the blogposts and are looking forward to this expansion of Cactusclicker. We have received a lot of feedback and will now be a little quieter about the development of the dungeons.

In the meantime, we have also realized that we will unfortunately not be able to complete the dungeon system by the time of release, as we would like to focus on content that is more relevant for the release. But postponed is not canceled! The dungeon system will be added to the mode in a later update and will take the depth of Cactusclicker to a new level.

Rest assured, though, that we won’t lose sight of Cactusclicker’s goal and only want to make the mode much more durable and versatile with additions like the dungeon system.
