You’ve probably noticed by now that we like to do things a little differently than other networks. A Season Pass or Battle Pass has become an integral part of the video game market. However, as you can see from the word “Season pass”, you also need a Season, which limits the content of the passes thematically and temporally.

 

Today, we’d like to explain how we plan to work with a season system at PlayLegend and our plans for future seasons. One topic you’ll probably be interested in is the content of the very first Battle pass. We’ll be writing about that next week and would love to hear your feedback.

The release is just the beginning. From launch you can expect a lot of new content!

Seasons

On the PlayLegend network, we always want to dedicate a season to a certain theme. As you might have noticed, the theme of the first season the network will start with is Vikings! Therefore, there will be a lobby inspired by the Viking Age, as well as themed cards for your map pool. If you haven’t heard about our map pool system yet, you can read about it in this blog post.

 

With a new season, not only the theme will change, but also the Main Lobby, which all players will enter as soon as they enter the server to play our large selection of games. At release, we will also release our first own big game mode “Cactusclicker”, which is also linked to the season system. Because your own Cactusclicker factory will be completely reset to change a season.

 

The only things that will carry over from one season to the next are your unlocked skins, as well as a trophy that will adorn your factory on a shelf under the cactus field. This will remind you of your rankings and achievements from that season.

 

Besides, we have planned that our stat system will offer daily, weekly, seasonal and all-time rankings, which means that a new season will also be a fresh start in your favorite mode. Each year you’ll have the chance to experience three unique seasons. By starting a season every four months, you’ll never get bored and there are always new challenges to master and versatile updates to explore.

In Cactusclicker you’ll be able to customize your factory with over 1000 different cosmetic items. From a simple banner to a factory skin!

Special Events

But not only the seasons will provide great variety. In addition to the four-month themed blocks, we also want to guarantee a unique time on our network with special events for various occasions.

 

Please note that we are still in the planning phase of our events and we have not yet decided the implementation of them. Our idea so far is to offer an event matching the event on different occasions such as Chinese New Year, Easter, Summer, Halloween, Christmas and others.

 

For each period, there would be a currency that can be earned during the event. This limited currency can then be redeemed for theme-specific content such as cosmetics, maps or similar.
