We are happy to have been able to share the network with you since December and are happy that so many players have found their way to PlayLegend.
The first season revealed a lot to us and presented us with a few problems. We sat down together as a team and worked on solutions.
Despite the great motivation with which the team is working on the network, it has become more and more difficult to fulfill your and our expectations over the course of the first season due to a decreasing number of team members.
Therefore, the PlayLegend Network team has decided to make a major change that will significantly shape the future face of the network.
From now on, we are putting our full focus on the further development and improvement of Cactus Clicker. We have decided to stop investing resources in the development of existing or new mini-games for the time being. This also means that there will be no new Battlepass at the start of the second season.
This decision is based on our firm conviction that we want to reduce P2W (Pay-to-Win) and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) content to a minimum. At the moment, we are not able to implement this principle within the framework of a Battlepass, as the number of players in the mini-game area is not yet sufficient.

The current Battle Pass will remain permanent. Should player numbers in the mini-game area increase and it become worthwhile to invest in the development of new mini-games again, we reserve the right to continue this in an upcoming season.
It is important to emphasize that despite these changes, all mini-games, statistics, etc., will remain intact. Nothing will be shut down, but for the time being, no new content for mini-games will be released. If there are any issues with a mini-game, we will of course address them when we find the necessary time.
Instead, our entire development and building team will focus its efforts on updating the Cactus Clicker game mode with new content for the upcoming seasons every four months.
For the season, we already have some changes planned that you can experience right now. However, before we delve into the details, we want to point out that some features currently have bugs that we are working on. But don’t let that stop you from experiencing the exciting additions for yourself!
First and foremost, we have removed the complete reset from Cactus Clicker to ensure constant progress. You now receive souls immediately after completing a wave without having to reset your game progress.
Another exciting addition is Milestones at every level of Aincraft. You can unlock Milestones to receive various rewards such as hunter licenses, rune blueprints, and boss souls. Additionally, new NPCs have been introduced, including hunters and NPCs for essence and soul farming, to assist you in resource procurement.

The Hunter becomes available to you from Factory Level 12 onwards. From this point onwards, he not only helps you gather kills for the portal but also materials that you’ve unlocked through Milestones. But be careful! The NPC cannot achieve Milestones or procure blueprints for you. You’ll have to invest the time yourself.
Furthermore, the arrow talent trees have been removed and replaced with a new dynamic runic system. This change is based on the experience that some players were prevented from completing the first season due to faulty decisions. We hope that with the new system, we can provide a more enjoyable gaming experience for you. You can research runic slots for towers and bridges and craft runes to enhance your towers. You’ll obtain blueprints by reaching Milestones in Aincraft. You can craft the runes with a new NPC and upgrade them at a later time. Once crafted, they are available for all towers.

To further enhance the player experience, a Badluck Protection has been implemented in Aincraft to ensure that you don’t have to defeat an infinite number of monsters to obtain blueprints.
Additionally, boss souls have been introduced, which you can obtain through Milestones or by defeating a boss for the first time in a wave. With the help of boss souls, you now have the ability to reset your talents. There are plans in place to allow you to demolish and reposition towers as well as reallocate attributes with souls at a later date.
An aesthetic improvement is the custom texture pack for Cactus Clicker, which is continuously updated with new graphics.

In addition to these features, we will be introducing some requested additions during Season 2.
The Monster Compendium allows you to gather information about drops from various mobs. When you obtain materials or blueprints from monsters, they will automatically be added to the compendium. In the future, monsters will also give knowledge points that you can collect to increase their knowledge level and unlock drop chances. The compendium will persist across all seasons and will not be reset. There will be a small extra for our players with a Legend+ rank. They can teleport directly to the mob’s level by using Shift+Left-click.
Furthermore, we aim to simplify the search for specific blueprints at the blacksmith, so the blacksmith in Cactus Clicker will receive an elaborate filtering system where you can search for blueprints with specific requirements.
Finally, we will introduce a kill-ranking system on each level in Aincraft.
We are eager to hear your feedback on the new features.
We are confident that Cactus Clicker has enormous potential, especially with the planned updates. The fundamental gameplay has already brought you a lot of joy, as we have observed from the numerous players who have enjoyed it over a long period. With the upcoming seasons, we want to ensure that this fun is never lost at any point in a season. However, it will take some time to provide you with enough content so that you have variety throughout a whole season. Balancing also presents us with some challenges, so this may take a little while longer.
We want to thank you for your support and understanding as we embark on this new direction. Your opinions and ideas are invaluable to us, and we look forward to shaping the future of the PlayLegend network together with you.
Finally, we’d like to inform you about one more small change. As you may have noticed, no weekly blog posts have appeared on the website. This is based on the decision to reduce the frequency of blog posts. But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean less content; on the contrary! From now on, we aim to provide even more quality and depth in every single post.
We firmly believe that quality outweighs quantity, especially when it comes to your precious time. Therefore, we have decided to pool our resources and focus on filling each blog post with even more carefully crafted content.
For short-term updates, you can keep an eye on our Discord.
We look forward to continuing to provide you with exciting updates, interesting insights, and valuable information. Stay tuned for our upcoming posts!
