Today, we dive together into the fascinating world of the GetDown game mode on our network! GetDown offers incredible maps waiting to be conquered by you, where your skill and tactical thinking are put to the test. So, let’s take a closer look at this game mode. Ready to reach the ground? Let’s get started!

GetDown consists of two phases: the descent phase and the combat phase.

During the descent phase, the goal is to reach the ground of the map as quickly as possible from the starting island. However, be cautious because fall damage can be deadly! If you die, you’ll restart from the beginning.

There are a total of 3 different maps available that you will traverse during the descent phase. A round ends either when a player reaches the ground or when the time runs out.

During the descent phase, you will encounter various types of blocks with different effects.

Coin block

Here, you’ll receive a variable number of coins that will be useful to you during the combat phase. With these coins, you can purchase weapons and equipment from the shop during the preparation time. The more coins you collect, the better your chances will be in the deathmatch.

Healing block

This block regenerates half a heart every half second for 20 coins while you stand on it, providing you with additional survival opportunities.

Weapon block

Interact with this block to obtain either a trident, a bow, or a crossbow, which you can use to impede your opponents.

Effektblock

Dieser Block gewährt dir einen zufälligen Effekt für eine kurze Zeit, der sowohl positiv als auch negativ sein kann.

Gold rush

During this phase, you receive an increased amount of coins from coin blocks for 15 seconds. However, be cautious because if you die during this phase, you’ll lose 30% of your coins.

Reaching the ground rewards you with additional coins for the final battle.

After the descent phase has ended, the combat phase begins. First, there’s a preparation time where you can use the coins you’ve collected to purchase weapons and equipment to prepare yourself for the showdown against the other players.

In an intense deathmatch, you’ll finally face all your opponents in an arena.

Survive as the last one standing to win the round.

Of course, we’ve also developed a custom layout for you in Getdown, which is designed to make your gaming experience more enjoyable. Additionally, we’ve designed a unique shop for the preparation phase to make it easier for you to equip yourself.

Furthermore, the entire team came together some time ago and decided to overhaul the game mode, with your feedback being a significant influence. The game mode is now better designed for all casual players, and the maps no longer consist solely of individual blocks but are equipped with various larger obstacles that give the entire jump phase a fresh feel.

You can test GetDown in the next Foundertest from October 27th to 30th or in the subsequent final open beta.
