The Tower Defense Feature in CactusClicker Has Received a Major Update!
We’ve reworked core mechanics and added exciting new features to make the gameplay even more strategic and varied. Here’s an overview of the most important changes:

Reworked Arrows and Damage Calculation
The arrows from your defense towers have been improved! Damage calculation is now more precise and better balanced. This allows you to use your towers more strategically and fight enemy mobs more effectively.

A special highlight: With explosive arrows, you can now deal damage to mobs yourself. Before Season 4, explosions caused mobs to briefly enter an “immunity state” — a built-in Minecraft mechanic. During this state, the mob flashes red and becomes immune to further damage for a few milliseconds. This limitation has now been adjusted, making explosive arrows significantly more effective.

Boss Area – Dedicated Zone on the Bridge
From now on, there is a dedicated area on the bridge specifically for boss fights. This creates a clearer structure and adds more excitement when especially powerful enemies approach. In this zone, it all comes down to whether your defense is strong enough—so make sure you’re well prepared!

Danger Indicator for Other Bridges
A brand-new feature is the danger indicator: You can now see what’s happening on the other bridges at any time. This helps you stay informed about the defense status on neighboring bridges and adapt your strategy accordingly.

New Wave-Skip Mechanic
Season 4 introduces a brand-new feature: wave skipping. For example, if you’re on Wave 124, you can jump straight to Wave 200 and challenge the boss there. If you defeat it, Wave 201 will be unlocked. You can even skip all the way to Wave 300 and take on that boss directly.

But be careful: for every wave you skip, the boss becomes stronger by a certain percentage. That means the more waves you play beforehand, the weaker the boss will be. So if you want to play it safe, progress through the waves one by one.

You are outside the combat zone! 4 charge collected!

Balancing – Casual-Friendly and Transparent
The new tower defense balancing is intentionally designed to be casual-friendly. Players who progress wave by wave can reliably defeat bosses using gray or green gear (low-tier equipment).

To help you stay oriented: 100 waves roughly equal the progress of one Aincraft layer. This system helps you choose gear that matches your current stage and ensures you’re always well prepared.

A key update in Season 4: the total number of waves has increased from 3,000 to 10,000!

This means that, for example, if you’ve reached Wave 3,000, you should ideally have gear comparable to Layer 28–30. Otherwise, the boss at that point could present a serious challenge. The system is intentionally kept simple so you can easily track your progress and equip yourself accordingly.

This update brings tons of new strategic possibilities, better overview, and more long-term motivation to the CactusClicker game mode!
